A nontraditional vampire story of personal growth and discovery. Vampires exist in the world, and humans do not know they exist. Arianna Sabini is twenty-five years old and a first-year professor finishing her PhD. dissertation and teaching at Weymouth University in upstate New York. She meets James Merden, a handsome and intriguing man who is at the university under the guise of writing a novel, but who is really there to get to know Arianna. Their relationship develops, and it seems like everything in her ordered and planned life is falling into place when she is viciously attacked. Arianna awakens and must accept the reality of how her life is changed, forever. She discovers she is a vampire hunter, James is a vampire, and the mythology she teaches is not entirely fiction. With help from Giovanni, a rough and cranky old vampire hunter, Arianna discovers her inner talents, and she begins to unravel the mysterious family secret in her past.
Arianna and James’ happiness is once again threatened by the mystery in Arianna’s past surrounding her great grandfather. When a new opportunity to uncover answers comes along, Arianna, James, and Giovanni head to Montana. Now, with new threats, wolf shifters changing the balance of power, and the growing need to find answers, Arianna must decide whether she will finally accept her role in the supernatural world.
Arianna has accepted some of the duties that are expected of her in the supernatural world. The wolves now report to her, and Giovanni is happy that she is beginning to assume her rightful role in the supernatural world. When Arianna’s mother ships Arianna furniture and items from her childhood, Arianna discovers a secret message left for her by her great grandfather. Armed with this new information and accompanied by James and Giovanni, Arianna sets off on a quest to Italy to discover the truth about her past and her family.

Christmastide is a very busy time of year with special orders, parties, and celebrations, and this year, the Christmas tree in the town will be lit with electric lights for the very first time. By chance, Adam Preston, the new Duke’s youngest brother and former soldier, finds himself in the Toselli workshop while waiting for his brother to come look at glass ornaments for the Christmastide Ball. Adam watches Shayla work and is intrigued by her and by glass blowing. He convinces Shayla to let him work in the shop alongside her and learn the trade. The temperature in the workshop heats up in more ways than one as the unlikely pair work together in the days leading up to the ball on Christmas Eve. This will certainly be a Christmastide to remember.
